On World Poetry Day, we come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Sahir Ludhianvi, the people’s poet and one of the most influential voices of 20th-century India. Renowned for the depth, clarity, and social consciousness of his words, his poetry moves seamlessly between literature and cinema, shaping Hindi films for decades. Through his lyrics, he gives voice to love, longing, and dissent, leaving an enduring mark on generations of listeners and readers alike.

Following his birth anniversary on the 8th of March, MOG celebrates his legacy and the art of poetry across diverse themes, featuring 12 poets.
