Art Studio
Paint at the Children's Art Studio
The Children's Art Studio at the Museum of Goa (MOG) is dedicated to nurturing creativity, imagination, and self-expression among children. Our mission is to provide a free environment where young minds can explore, discover, and experiment with art and stories. We believe that engaging with art brings us closer to ourselves and helps us make sense of the world around us.
When the museum transforms into a classroom, we narrate stories about Goa’s rich history, the lives of renowned artists, and various art techniques. These narrative sessions aim to educate and inspire children by connecting them with cultural and artistic heritage. Through these stories, we seek to cultivate a deep appreciation for the arts.
The studio serves as a playground where children can experiment with various materials and ideas. Through hands-on activities, they can explore different art forms, which sparks new ways of thinking, seeing, and creating. This method fosters their imagination and allows them to express themselves freely.
Open Studio Activities
The studio offers open studio activities where both children and adults are invited to engage with various art mediums at their own pace. The environment promotes self-directed learning and artistic exploration, allowing participants create independently.
Artist-led Workshops
The studio also provides artist-led workshops, offering participants the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners. These workshops cover a wide range of topics and techniques, allowing participants to be inspired while learning new skills.
Art-Driven Experiences
The studio hosts art-driven experiences designed to immerse participants creatively. These experiences involve interactive installations, collaborative projects, birthday parties, and innovative approaches to art-making.
