Cinema is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and most influential storytelling forms invented by human beings. The hunger of audiences for stories grows exponentially every year. From films to TV serials, Web series, and now Micro-dramas. Audiences can’t seem to get enough.

However, the impact of the viewing experience fundamentally depends on the quality of the script. And scriptwriting is as much craft as it is art. The most wonderfully interesting ideas and stories can fall flat if the script is not crafted well. If you want to do screenwriting, it is imperative that you learn the craft, practice it to hone your skill, so that you come up with solidly engaging scripts that can become impactful films.

This workshop introduces you to what really constitutes a script, and importantly how to write it. The whole journey from story idea to the formulation of the dramatic premise, to creating multi-dimensional, credible characters who will make your story come alive, constructing a clear plot, formulating a gripping

structure of the screenplay, and finally, fashioning interesting scenes with dialogue that has brevity and subtext.
