Film Screening and Panel Discussion – Ayena (Mirror)
Ayena (Mirror) is an intimate documentary that follows the lives of acid attack survivors Ritu Saini and Faraha Khan as they rebuild their identities in the aftermath of unimaginable violence. Rather than centring the attack itself, the film explores friendship, healing, resilience, and the quiet determination of two women reclaiming their lives on their own terms.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the film’s protagonists, Ritu Saini and Faraha Khan; director Siddhant Sarin; and Ashish Shukla, Director of the Chhanv Foundation. Together, they will reflect on survival, justice, representation, and the role of cinema in creating empathy and challenging social stigma.
This event is supported by The Park, Calangute and The Lithuanian Embassy.
