Double Engine- History of Goa Lok Sabha Elections

Election results are out. In Goa, both the BJP & Congress retained their seats. Was the BJP’s record lead of 1.16 lakhs in North Goa unexpected? Did Congress scrape through in the South with a mere lead of 14,000 against a new woman face of the BJP? Is South Goa still a bastion of the Congress? Is the BJP unbeatable in the North?

Sandesh Prabhudesai, a veteran journalist & writer, in view of his new book “ Double Engine: History of Goa Lok Sabha Elections”.

He was interviewed by political activist Trajano D’Mello, who had actively played on Goa’s political turf for over four decades, for the Janata Party, BJP, Goa Congress, Rajiv Congress, NCP, Congress, AAP, and the TMC.

Both of them analysed today’s political situation while digging out the history with a perspective.
