Artist Trading Cards by LAFA × Museum of Goa
To celebrate one year of Artist Trading Cards (ATC) at LAFA, we’re excited to collaborate with the Museum of Goa for a special edition of our monthly trading session.
Whether you’re an artist, illustrator, designer, student, hobbyist, or simply curious about making art, this is an open and welcoming space to create, connect, and exchange original artworks with others.
Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026
Time: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Venue: Museum of Goa, Pilerne
This Month’s Prompt: MOG (Love)
Love can mean many things. It can be personal or political, joyful or complicated, quiet or loud.
Whether you express it, question it, remember it, or create from it—begin with love, and see where it takes you.
The prompt is only a starting point. Interpret it in your own way and let your creativity lead.
What is an Artist Trading Card?
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are miniature original artworks, each measuring 2.5 × 3.5 inches—the same size as a Pokémon or playing card.
Unlike regular artworks, ATCs are created to be traded, not sold. Every exchange is an opportunity to meet another artist, discover new ideas, and build a collection of original works made by people in your creative community.
Each card is unique, making every trade a small exchange of stories, styles, and perspectives.
How It Works
Create your cards before the event and bring them along for the trading session.
During the event, participants will meet one another, view each other’s work, and exchange cards through mutual agreement. There are no competitions or judging—just conversations, creativity, and trading.
Artist Trading Card Guidelines
Please keep the following in mind while making your cards:
- Card size must be 2.5 × 3.5 inches (64 × 89 mm).
- Any medium is welcome—drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, photography, mixed media, embroidery, digital prints, and more.
- Every card must be an original artwork.
- Sign and date the back of each card. You may also include your artist name or social media handle if you’d like.
- Cards are made for trading only, not for sale.
- Only trade cards that you have made yourself.
- Both portrait and landscape orientations are welcome.
- Please keep your cards neat, finished, and ready to trade.
- We recommend bringing at least 10 cards so you can enjoy a good round of trading.
- All ages, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcome.
- Need Materials?
Pre-cut Artist Trading Card blanks are available free of cost from:
- LAFA Shop, Caranzalem
- Museum of Goa Reception Desk, Pilerne
