Exhibition Intern
INTERNSHIP SUMMARY
The Festivals of Goa Internship at the Museum of Goa offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in exhibition management, visitor engagement, and event coordination. Interns will play a key role in supporting the Festivals of Goa exhibition, a celebration of Goan culture, community, and heritage. They will assist with day-to-day operations, interact with visitors, ensure the safety of artworks, and help facilitate events, workshops, and public programs throughout the exhibition period.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest in Goan culture, art, festivals, and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse audiences.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- Flexible and adaptable to dynamic schedules, including occasional evening or weekend work during special events.
- Commitment to being present for the full duration of the exhibition period.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Visitor Engagement:
Interact with visitors, share insights about the Festivals of Goa exhibition, participating artists, and installations. Provide information, answer queries, and contribute to an engaging and educational visitor experience.
Exhibition Support:
Assist in the daily upkeep of the exhibition space and ensure artworks and installations remain secure and well-presented. Support installation and de-installation processes as needed.
Event Coordination:
Support all public programs, including talks, workshops, performances, and pop-ups, by assisting with logistics, setup, and facilitation.

- Working Hours: Tuesday – Sunday – 9:45 AM – 6:00 PM (Hours may vary depending on scheduled events; Mondays will be weekly off.)
- Stipend: ₹6,000 per month
