Content Creator

Join our team and help tell the many stories of Goa through the Museum’s exhibitions, programmes, people, and everyday moments. We’re looking for a creative and curious content creator who can develop engaging content across social media and digital platforms, with a strong eye for storytelling, visuals, and the cultural context of Goa.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: Degree or diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, Advertising, English, or a related field
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in content creation, social media, or a related role
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with an ability to make cultural and artistic subjects accessible and engaging
  • Experience creating content for Instagram, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and captions
  • Basic knowledge of photography and videography, with an understanding of framing, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Familiarity with editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong interest in art, culture, history, and contemporary conversations around Goa
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate with the wider team
  • Strictly for those living and operating from Goa

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engaging content for the Museum’s social media and digital platforms.
  • Plan, write, shoot, and edit short-form video content, including Reels, Stories, and other social media formats.
  • Create captions, copy, scripts, and other written content for exhibitions, events, programmes, and campaigns.
  • Develop creative content ideas that communicate the Museum’s work in an accessible, relevant, and engaging manner.
  • Cover Museum events, MOG Sundays, exhibitions, workshops, and other programmes through photography, videography, and social media content.
  • Work closely with the curatorial, education, communications, and events teams to understand upcoming programmes and translate them into effective content.
  • Research and develop stories around Goa’s art, history, culture, people, food, and contemporary life for the Museum’s digital platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the Museum’s social media content calendar.
  • Stay updated with current social media trends, formats, and storytelling techniques, while ensuring that content remains aligned with the Museum’s identity.
  • Assist with website content, newsletters, promotional material, and other digital communication as required.
  • Organise and maintain the Museum’s photography and video archives.
  • Occasionally work beyond regular hours, particularly during events, exhibitions, and special programmes when additional content coverage is required.
  • Any other content and communications assistance as required.
