Sweety Joshi is a Mumbai-based artist working primarily in mixed media. A graduate of the Abhinav School of Arts, Pune (2005), her practice explores themes of transformation, memory, and personal experience through the symbolic use of fire. By working with materials such as paper and mirrors, and employing techniques like burning, folding, and rolling, she creates textured surfaces that reflect the evolving nature of life and resilience.
Her work has been widely exhibited in India and internationally, including at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal; Arushi Art Gallery, New Delhi; Art Heritage Gallery, Delhi; Kulturfyren, Stockholm; and Tadioto, Hanoi. She has also participated in major platforms such as the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (2014), the Gran Canaria Biennale, Spain (2015), the India Art Fair (2017), and the Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, South Korea (2020). Her solo exhibitions include KALOS and FIRE LATITUDE at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. Sweety has undertaken artist residencies in India and abroad, including Sweden, Spain, and Vietnam.
