Sudipto Das is a Special Photojournalist with The Times of India, where he has been working since 2005. His practice encompasses news, environment, heritage, and feature stories, combining visual storytelling with regular reporting.
He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Photojournalism from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Centre for Journalism in collaboration with the World Press Photo at Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines, and an Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. He has worked with leading international agencies and publications, including the Associated Press (AP), European Pressphoto Agency (EPA), BBC News Online, India Today, and SPAN.
Sudipto has covered major national and international assignments such as the COVID-19 pandemic, elections, conflicts, and stories of everyday life. His work has been published globally, and he has served as a nominator for the 6x6 Global Talent Program (2019 & 2020) by the World Press Photo Foundation, as well as an educator for a diploma course in Documentary Photography at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, affiliated with the University of Calcutta. He has exhibited his work in the Cycle Diaries exhibition.
