Sourav Karmakar is a photographer with a background in journalism, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Calcutta (2008). His engagement with photography began during his academic years, where he explored various photographic styles as part of his journalistic training.

He currently focuses on outdoor photography, capturing diverse environments and everyday moments with a documentary sensibility. His work reflects a sustained interest in visual storytelling and observation.He has exhibited his work in the Cycle Diaries exhibition.
