Printmaker, draughtsman and sculptor Santosh Morajkar developed a distinct visual language shaped by bold, hybrid forms, and a fluid movement between the human and non-human. His practice brought together figurative, animal, organic, and imagined forms, often exploring the body through an erotic and deeply personal vocabulary.

Born in Khorlim, Mapusa, Goa, in 1973, Morajkar studied at the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication in Hyderabad before returning to Goa, where he became part of its contemporary art community. Working across printmaking, drawing and sculpture, he carried ideas of line, texture, layering and repetition across mediums. He passed away in January 2026.
