Brief info
Khanjan Purohit is a street and documentary photographer whose work focuses on urban landscapes and the lived experiences within them. She currently serves as the Managing Editor at Ephemere (Tokyo). Growing up in Delhi and deeply influenced by her father, she pursued the arts through photography and filmmaking.
Her practice is inspired by the medium’s ability to document the times we live in, capturing subtle narratives of place and community. Khanjan’s work has been exhibited at several international photo festivals and galleries, including Trieste Photo Days, Louisville Photo Biennial, and Month of Photography Denver. She is also the author of a photo book tracing Buddhist heritage and contemporary life in Bodh Gaya as well as a photo zine titled In Good Company (DOCU Editions). She presented her work in the exhibition “Seen/Unseen.”
