Brief info
Bhagyashree Meshakar is a photographer from Nagbhid, eastern Maharashtra, whose work captures the quiet rhythms of rural life. Growing up in a small village, her perspective is shaped by a deep connection to handmade practices and everyday experiences.
Working primarily with a mobile phone, she approaches photography as a means of preserving the authenticity of ordinary moments. Her images focus on overlooked details of daily life, often composed with a painterly sensibility that brings attention to subtle narratives.
An engineer turned educational practitioner and children’s book illustrator, she has spent the past six years working with students and communities in remote regions of India. Her practice continues to be informed by her interest in art, nature, and storytelling. She has exhibited her work in the Cycle Diaries exhibition.
