Arpan Basu Chowdhury is an Economics graduate from the University of Calcutta and currently works with India Post. Alongside his professional career, he actively pursues photography as a means of storytelling.

His practice is rooted in documenting people and exploring socio-economic realities, with a focus on capturing everyday lives and lived experiences. Through his work, he seeks to bring attention to the nuanced challenges and narratives that often remain unseen. For Arpan Basu Chowdhury, photography is both a personal and reflective process—one that allows him to engage with the world meaningfully while finding a sense of clarity and fulfilment through image-making. He has exhibited his work in the Cycle Diaries exhibition.
