Step Into The Sea

Step into the Sea, a multidisciplinary immersive installation by The Good Ocean and Jolchhobi, is coming to the Museum of Goa from 24th to 30th January.

World-renowned guitarist Susmit Sen, former lead guitarist and founder of Indian Ocean, will open Step into the Sea on 24th January with a journey beneath the surface. He will perform a live solo set of his cherished compositions, along with improvisations inspired by marine ecosystems.

Unknown to many, India is home to over 800 species of seaweed. Along Goa’s coast, Sargassum forests form dense underwater canopies from November to March. These rich, biodiverse spaces support marine life but remain largely unseen and understudied. Through this immersive experience, visitors step into a room that feels like swimming through a seaweed forest along the Goan coastline—an unfamiliar yet vital ecosystem.
