The Monastic Black Hat Dance, also known as “Shanag”, is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist dance performed by monks. It’s characterised by powerful movements, energetic steps, and the wearing of black hats, symbolising the destruction of evil forces and protection of the dharma. The dance is often performed during festivals and rituals, showcasing spiritual strength and devotion.
