Let’s Talk About Goa, 50 Years On

The MOG Sunday session centres on Goa < 2075, a dystopian political novel by Mayabhushan Nagvenkar, set in a near-future Goa governed by a democratic corporation and driven by tourism and real estate testosterone. Written live and shared online simultaneously in English and Marathi between 2023 and 2025, the novel draws on lived experience and reportage to imagine a not-so-distant future.

This MOG Sunday features Mayabhushan Nagvenkar — a former journalist and author whose writing draws on decades of reportage and lived experience in Goa — in conversation with Dr. Oscar Rebello, a renowned medical practitioner, socio-political commentator, and former leader of the Goa Bachao Andolan.
