Glimpses of Goa’s Histories – A lecture by Subodh Kerkar

Museum of Goa, in collaboration with A Chirag Datta Naik Initiative, is excited to present to you an important lecture by artist Subodh Kerkar, at Gomant Vidya Niketan, Margao, reflecting on the various histories of Goa.

On the Sunday of 12th April, ‘Glimpses of Goa’s Histories’ brings to light aspects of Goa’s past that often remain outside popular memory. Through the perspective of an artist and passionate reader of history, Subodh Kerkar reflects on the region’s architecture, food, culture, and diaspora, while situating Goa within the larger narrative of India’s history. Blending personal anecdotes with stories drawn from the experiences of Goans, he puts together a portrait that offers audiences a window into the many-layered histories of Goa.
