Ecology: Goa’s Artistic and Spiritual Thinking

Goa’s beauty lies in its stunning landscapes, lush trees, forests, and charming villages filled with centuries-old buildings and shrines from various religious traditions, from tribal to modern. Its farmland and forests are deeply connected to the vast and diverse cultures of deities, rituals, and traditions. Goa also has a vibrant contemporary art scene that has constantly responded to the shifting identities of Goa.

However, Goa is now facing challenges as rapid construction changes its landscape, with the noise of chainsaws and machines becoming all too common. This panel discussion explores how art and spirituality can help us come together, find strength, and protect our precious environment.

Act For Goa, an initiative by the Kokum Design Trust, provides a platform to unite people and organizations in working towards a sustainable future for Goa.
