SUBODH

Founder of the Museum, Subodh’s favourite artwork in the Museum is the Gandhi Heart Sounds installation. If he could, Subodh would turn into a fish and swim to coasts around the world.

SUNIL

SUNIL

Sunil is an in-house artisan at the Museum of Goa and has been working here for nearly 18 years now. He is also our resident “fixer” and ensures everything in the museum is working efficiently. Sometimes, it almost seems like the appliances and electricals in the museum only respond to his touch.

ANIL

ANIL

No one believes him when he says it but Anil is actually 31. He specialized in Agricultural studies in college and then practiced as a jewellery maker. This is when he learnt grafting, one of his favorite techniques.

RAMESH PIRVOLKAR

RAMESH PIRVOLKAR

At 71 years, Ramesh is, shall we say, the wisest member of our studio team. Before joining MOG, Ramesh worked in vehicle body shops, shaping buses and autos. He is also an accomplished stage actor who has playing Lakshman in several shows.

CARMINE

CARMINE

Carmine has worked alongside Subodh for 22 years. Over these years she has seen enormous growth at the museum. Her favourite time of the year is when we host exhibitions because of all the great people she gets to meet.

LAVINA

LAVINA

An artistic space such as ours is bound to be full of people who are slightly on the weaker side of the mathematics spectrum. Luckily, we have Lavina who ensures that the finances of the museum are well managed. She has a sharp eye for numbers and makes sure our sales and salaries are always taken care of.

MANASI

MANASI

Manasi is responsible for Museum of Goa’s visual communication so when you see a poster on our page that you really like, you know who to pat on the back! Manasi is also a dancer and an artist. When she’s not busily tapping away at her computer, Manasi is also a storehouse of stories and you never walk away from her desk without a smile on your face!

PARASHU

PARASHU

Parashu is an expert in pottery and working with fiberglass. His favourite installation is the Whirlpool by Anil Kapoor which he saw at the Kochi Biennale. He is the chief in charge of the workshop team and ensures that things get done like clockwork.

DAS

DAS

Das is one among the super team that works out of the Museum workshop. He has played an integral part in crafting many of the displays put up in the museum. He is always keen to help out our staff members with any fixing that they may need done. Like a true blue Bengali, his favorite thing to eat is rice and he ensures that he gets a full lunch of it everyday !

SONAM

SONAM

Sonam is in charge of the Museum’s store and housekeeping. Her keen eye ensures that every single spot in the museum is squeaky clean. More importantly, Sonam is the resident mother hen of the museum and makes sure that all her chicklets, aka, the museum staff are always putting their very best foot forward.

PRASHANTO

PRASHANTO

Prashanto is our in-house iron man. Besides working in the workshop, he’s also the first person one approaches when we need to get some heavy-lifting done. The best part about him? His bright smile

YOGESH

YOGESH

Yogesh is a man who wears many hats in the museum. From knowing the titles and artists of paintings to ensuring their safe storage and transportation, he takes credit for much of the presentation within the museum. Most importantly, Yogesh is an expert at handling India Mart and makes sure the Museum procures all the raw material it requires without a hindrance.

SUKANYA

SUKANYA

Sukanya is co-incharge of the museum store. A fun trivia game to play with her would be to point at random items at sale in the store and ask her to quote their prices. Most days she can do it without even looking at what you’re pointing at!

RAJARAM

RAJARAM

Rajaram has had many years of experience working with sculpture and now contributes the same to our workshop. He’s one among our many important cogs in the wheel!

AJAY

AJAY

Ajay is a part of the sculpture team. He helps in building the wire and fiberglass framework of the clay sculptures at the museum. Essentially, he is the backbone of our sculptures.

PAPPU

PAPPU

Pappu Yadav is one among our super trio who run the MOG cafe. He has the exact same energy as a big teddy bear and his bright smile ensures that you leave the cafe with both your bellies and your hearts full.

VAIBHAV

VAIBHAV

Vaibhav is the Museum’s official photographer and videographer. He ensures that our social media pages never run out of pictures and reels. When not dabbling with the camera, Vaibhav also makes caricatures, his favourite type being that of superheroes.

TANVI

Tanvi is co-pilot of the reception desk. She hands out tickets to people visiting the museum with the brightest smile on her face so if you’re walking around feeling merry, you know who’s responsible.

Jeff is both the manager of the Museum of Goa and our resident Osho. While ensuring a smooth running of operations at the museum, Jeff also makes certain that all members of our staff have a fulfilling and wholesome experience while working here. You will always find him handing out a book or a piece of advice that enriches your everyday life.

GANESH

GANESH

Ganesh, our receptionist, is the first face you see when you walk into the museum. When not handing out tickets and sternly asking people to not touch our artwork, Ganesh is busy with being the resident mischief maker in the Museum. When not at the museum, Ganesh also works as a bartender and one may say that the cocktails concocted by him are almost as good as his pranks.

RAKESH

RAKESH

Rakesh primarily works on welding in the workshop. He is essentially among those responsible for giving our art pieces a strong, sturdy support base.

HEENA

HEENA

Our resident ball of sunshine, Heena works in the museum as an intern. Professionally an architect, Heena is also an artist and is working on several projects with Subodh Kerkar. Heena especially has a penchant for breaking into a dance whenever, earning her the nickname of ‘Dancing Queen’ among her friends.

SHANKAR

SHANKAR

Our resident carver, Shankar has worked with Subodh for over 20 years. You will notice his intricate work on Vasco Maize at the Museum, one of his favourite pieces to have worked on. Outside work, Shankar enjoys watching cartoons with his children.

GUNJAN

GUNJAN

Gunjan is our social media and photography intern. In her time off the museum she teaches scuba diving. That and the fact that she has red hair has earned her the nickname of little mermaid among the museum staff.
