FACILITIES

Museum of Goa is a state of the art contemporary art space designed by Goan architect Dean D’cruz. The building houses a three storey exhibition space, an art studio, Sculpture Garden, Museum Shop and cafe.

CAFE

MOG Cafe is the latest addition to the Museum. Our cafe’s menu is an extension of the authentic Goan experience that the Museum provides, offering signature Konkan dishes. Be sure to ask for locally baked Goan bread with your order!

AUDIO/VISUAL ROOM

 

The Museum hosts film screenings and talks in the AV Room, which has stereo sound capacity and a projection system. The room is padded for sound proofing and capable of hosting as many as 40 people.

STORAGE

Should you find yourself at the Museum with your luggage, feel free to deposit it at reception for the duration of your visit. We can accommodate your rain-wear, baby carriers and helmets, too, should you need to deposit them.

STUDIO

The Museum’s studio is an ideal place for artists to hone their skills or work on their latest inspiration over a residency programme. Contact us at info.museumofgoa@gmail.com for more information

ART MEDIATION

Art mediation activities are fun activities to engage with art for people of all age groups. MOG designs these activities to facilitate dialogue and promote discussions.If you would like to schedule an art mediation activity, speak to a representative at our reception area.

WORKSHOPS

SCULPTURE GARDEN

Outdoor exhibitions and events at the Museum are held at our Sculpture Garden. The Garden is equipped with a pavilion and displays sculptures by various artists.

General Information

The Museum welcomes families with children. Ask us at reception for fun activities for the entire family.

We do not allow food into the Museum beyond the cafe. However, water bottles are allowed within the Museum. We highly recommend you do not throw away plastic bottles at the Museum. Please feel free to ask Museum staff to refill your bottle at one of our filters.

Photography and Videography are both permitted at the Museum. Be respectful of other visitors at the Museum if you engage in photography or Videography. We would highly appreciate you tagging the Museum of Goa if you post your pictures or videos on social media (Facebook and insta: @museumofgoa).

Be sure to stop at the Museum shop during your visit. We sell items that are uniquely Goan, sustainable, and feature many local artists.
