Museum of Goa organised a talk on ‘Designing and Building a Caravan Home’ by award-winning writer, Venita Coelho.
Venita Coelho works with images, words and paint. She is a writer who has worked in film, television and literature. Her published work includes Dead as a Dodo which won the Hindu Award for the Best Fiction for Children in 2016. She has recently been awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award, India’s highest writing honour. With over 500 hours of television writing to her credit, she has designed shows for India, Malaysia and Singapore. As an artist, she works with charcoal and with acrylic paint on glass. Like the characters in her stories, she had set off on a great adventure – having converted a Tempo traveller into a caravan, she and her daughter travelled across India.
