His translations have appeared in several notable anthologies\, including The Salt of the Earth: Stories from Rustic Goa\, A Garland of Poems\, and The Greatest Goan Stories Ever Told. \nR. Benedito Ferrão is an Associate Professor of English and Asian & Pacific Islander American Studies at William & Mary (Virginia\, USA). Despite enduring injustice and marginalisation\, it is their choices\, decisions\, and actions that profoundly shape the course of the epic. Their presence injects the narrative with emotional depth and enduring relevance. \nFrom Kunti and Draupadi to Ganga\, Satyavati\, and Amba—along with Ambika\, Ambalika\, Gandhari\, and Hidimba—the epic is propelled forward by these powerful figures. DESCRIPTION:Nityan Unnikrishnan’s body of work encompasses ceramics\, furniture\, crafts\, comics\, painting and sculpture. Presently exhibiting his paintings at the 6th Kochi Muziris Biennale\, Nityan will take us through the evolution of his design work\, his shift to art and sculpture and present his first book. \nNityan Unnikrishnan is an artist and designer based in Goa\, India. Following graduate studies in Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design (NID)\, Ahmedabad\, he practised as a potter and worked on crafts development projects in various parts of rural India.
