Art plays an essential role in the holistic growth of children. Every child is an artist and it is the responsibility of the society to ensure that they remain artists. A free-thinking environment with constant encouragement and exposure to arts can elevate their creative spirits.

At Museum of Goa, we believe that art has the power to contribute towards making a plural, healthier and just society. MOG Foundation has launched A World of My Own, to encourage creativity amongst children.

A World of My Own is an initiative to engage children to create and connect with art and enable them to explore new ways of seeing, understanding and creating. We aim to collaborate with artists, educational institutions and educators to inculcate creative thinking by:

  • Creating an Online Platform to exhibit artworks created by children from across the country.
  • Curating an exhibition of selected works that will be displayed at the Museum of Goa.
  • Facilitating art collaborations children artists from across the country to produce digital visual art installations.
  • Promoting access to quality arts through art education workshops and courses.

As a part of the online exhibition we intend to execute the following:

  • Interactive Platform
The digital platform allows children to exhibit their works based on a theme, and ‘like’ works of fellow participants.
  • Themes
The subject of the exhibition will change every three months and be open-ended allowing participants to express freely.
  • Prizes
The best three works will be awarded along with a special gift for the most ‘liked’ work on the website.
