    An Anti- litter Campaign

"Littering is considered as an act of violence- violence against Mother Earth and against oneself"- Mahatma Gandhi

Although Goa is best known for its pristine coastlines, rolling hills and exemplary species of marine, plant and animal life- this ecological haven is steadily eroding. There is plastic litter everywhere. Even the ‘educated’ and the rich litter shamelessly. We believe that this situation can only be changed with the education of our children.

The ‘Anti-litter’ idea has to be inculcated from an early age. Hence, Museum of Goa organised the project ‘Carpet of Joy’ to spread this very idea against littering. Set up in a field near the Saligao junction in Goa, the project received more than 1,50,000 visitors over the 2 months starting from April 10th till May 31st, 2017.

This installation is now being set up at the Museum of Goa, Pilerne Industrial Estate, Goa.
