About Ramesh Ghadi:
A farmer, fitness trainer, writer, a POET...
During a trip to the Gulf, Ramesh fondly reminisced about his village, paddy fields ,cattle and the village folks. He got lost in the fast moving city of hyper molls, six lanes highways, sky scrapers and found poetry to his rescue.
Like many other villages his village too was changing a bit faster because it is close to the Calangute beach by just 3 kms. Land prices seem to keep increasing while the values and ethics decrease, although so called prosperity came but slowly we are losing the ethnic beauty.
Currently, he is running a fitness centre to keep youth away from drugs and alcohol which has become big nuisance for our party loving coastal villages. His first poetry collection is titled 'Avoy zalea Zantti ' (Mother has become Old). He has recited his poems for All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan, Sahitya Academy poetry meet, Kavya Hotra and Dakshinayan. He presented programs at All India radio, Doordarshan and RDX channel. He also won the all Goa poetry writing competition organised by Dolgado Konkani Academy.
His poetry profile was organised by the department of Art & Culture under the chairmanship of Vishnu Surya Vagh, two years ago.
